Let’s Meet in Alabama February 1 & 2, 2025!
Posted Dec 3 2024
If you live in or near Birmingham or Wetumpka, Alabama, come see me at either MURDER IN THE MAGIC CITY or MURDER ON THE MENU!
ABOUT MURDER IN THE MAGIC CITY
Murder in the Magic City is a mystery conference for fans of all sub-genres of mystery novels. The conference consists of panel discussions and presentations by the Guests of Honor. Lunch, drinks, and a “goody bag” are included in the registration fee. In addition, the event holds a basket auction each year for charity. Baskets consist of at least one book and items related to that book/theme.
Why the “Magic City”? When Birmingham was founded around 1871, it grew so fast that people said it happened “just like magic”. Currently, Birmingham is Alabama’s largest city. There are lots of fun things to do in Birmingham. The city has a fantastic Museum of Art, and the Civil Rights Institute is a great visit. Of course, no trip to Birmingham would be complete without seeing Vulcan, the naked statue made even more famous by the late mystery writer Anne George.

Nice to know!! So excited
Haha! Our terrier mix and shepherd mix are certainly selective, too. They hear "treat" without fail, but "down" or "no!" don't always register. Raggs is such a cute name!
Reggie certainly looks happy! My own dog, Raggs, has "selective" hearing--and he's not well trained. But. Our dogs are family and we do love them.
Thanks, Barbara! I wish I could write faster, too! My ideas are backing up in my head. : ) I wish my brain had a USB port where I could automatically download the stories from my mind to the page. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book! I'm hard at work on the second one, A Trip with Trouble.
I LOVED getaway with Murder. The second book can't be published soon enough. Can you write any faster? ;-)
