Funny and Flattering Feedback!
Posted Nov 15 2011
Writers love getting feedback from readers. Here’s a funny message I found in my email inbox this morning: I’m hooked! My house looks like dukie and it’s all your fault- thanks! It made my day to know she’s decided to read my book instead of cleaning!

I was chosen as Humor Writer of the Month by the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop! Hooray! See the details at: http://humorwriters.org/category/humor-writer-of-the-month/ I’m so honored! I loved Erma Bombeck’s writing. She managed to find humor in the ironies – and in some cases drudgery – of daily life. I often think of one or another of her humor pieces […]

My dream of becoming a published novelist comes true today as my debut novel, Death, Taxes, and a French Manicure, hits the bookstore shelves. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! When I set out ten years ago to become a writer, I expected the process to be a solitary endeavor. But I couldn’t have been more wrong! There are so […]

It’s Halloween, the day when our thoughts turn to scary things. Ghosts. Goblins. Vampires. The IRS. I jest, of course. There’s no reason to fear the IRS – as long as you’re being honest on your tax returns, of course! One of the recurring issues that haunts Tara Holloway, the IRS criminal investigator who stars […]

One of the aspects of writing the Death & Taxes series that was both the most challenging and the most fun was creating the men in Tara’s life. It was tempting to make her boyfriend, Brett Ellington, perfect. But then he wouldn’t seem real. And, honestly, as I thought things through, I realized I had no […]

Nice to know!! So excited
Haha! Our terrier mix and shepherd mix are certainly selective, too. They hear "treat" without fail, but "down" or "no!" don't always register. Raggs is such a cute name!
Reggie certainly looks happy! My own dog, Raggs, has "selective" hearing--and he's not well trained. But. Our dogs are family and we do love them.
Thanks, Barbara! I wish I could write faster, too! My ideas are backing up in my head. : ) I wish my brain had a USB port where I could automatically download the stories from my mind to the page. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book! I'm hard at work on the second one, A Trip with Trouble.
I LOVED getaway with Murder. The second book can't be published soon enough. Can you write any faster? ;-)
