My Editor’s Pet Pics!

Posted May 2 2014

These adorable dogs belong to my brilliant editor, Holly Ingraham! The white one is Ninja, and the black one is Phantom. Holly is convinced Ninja was human in a former life – he likes to lay his head on pillows, huffs at you when he’s annoyed, and puts himself to bed at 9:30pm every day. Holly says that […]

Holly the Lab/Boxer!

Posted May 1 2014

Holly is a rescue from the ASPCA. The older sister of Holly’s owner, Lisa, saw an article in the local paper with the headline “The Busy Boxer”. It seems Holly’s daddy not only had a litter with Holly’s Black Lab mommy, but also with another dog. So Holly is the daughter of a local celebrity. What a […]

Oden and Lacey belong to reader Jeanette, who says her boxers are virtually human.  They love to play with flashlights, and  she says stuffed animals don’t stand a chance around them. Jeanette says they’ll even steal your beer if you set it down! These dogs like to party! Woof!

He’s a Catahoula/Bullldog mix and is game for anything, including dress up!  He lives in a household with Christine, her husband, and two teenage girls who love to dress him up and paint his nails.  Kramer is happiest when he is asleep on your feet, asleep in your lap, eating or sleeping with a full […]

Thank You, Journalists!

Posted Apr 14 2014

Got to meet Dan Rather at the University of Texas Honors Day Communications Department brunch (thanks to my “scary smart” and adorable daughter who’s kicking major butt in college).  So proud! Many of you probably feel the same way as me. The voice and face of Dan Rather on TV always meant that something big […]

Haha! Our terrier mix and shepherd mix are certainly selective, too. They hear "treat" without fail, but "down" or "no!" don't always register. Raggs is such a cute name!

Reggie certainly looks happy! My own dog, Raggs, has "selective" hearing--and he's not well trained. But. Our dogs are family and we do love them.

Thanks, Barbara! I wish I could write faster, too! My ideas are backing up in my head. : ) I wish my brain had a USB port where I could automatically download the stories from my mind to the page. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book! I'm hard at work on the second one, A Trip with Trouble.
  Barbara
I LOVED getaway with Murder. The second book can't be published soon enough. Can you write any faster? ;-)
