Briley and Emma!

Posted May 12 2014

Briley and Emma are the beloved pets of reader Blair. Blair says this is their “please don’t leave” plea. They’re so cute and convincing I don’t know how Blair ever leaves home!  Dogs sure are expressive, aren’t they? : )  Thanks for sharing, Blair!

Foster Family Fun!

Posted May 11 2014

This pack belongs to Angela H. The first two photos are of Darla, a pit bull/terrier mix that Angela fostered. Darla recently found her forever home with a new family. Aren’t happy endings wonderful? Last week, Angela took in a Doberman/shepherd mix named Elivs. (Wait, I thought Elvis was nothing but a hound dog, crying all the […]

Doggie Stylin’!

Posted May 10 2014

Today’s dog joke: Q: How is a dog and a marine biologist alike? A: One wags a tail and the other tags a whale. And now for more puppy love!  This is Berkeley, a Basenji and the beloved pet of my good writing buddy, Hadley Holt. Berkeley had been returned to the animal shelter at […]

Oodles of Fun!

Posted May 9 2014

This poodle belongs to author Becke Turner. She and her husband adopted Sammy, a Moyen Poodle, from the Carolina Poodle Rescue. She says he’s a perfect pet and they wonder why anyone would have dropped him off at the Tennessee shelter. However, they’re very glad they did! You can learn more about Becke at her website! Thanks, Becke, for […]

Here’s Copper!

Posted May 8 2014

Copper belongs to reader Paula, who lives in the country in Texas. Copper was dumped in front of Paula’s gate and waited there for three days for the creeps to come back and get him, taking the food and water Paula offered but always going back to wait. He finally decided Paula and her hubby were okay, stayed up at […]

Dogs Make a Place a Home!

Posted May 7 2014

These pics come courtesy of nurse Donna in Texas! Sophie, the adorable dog curled up in the bed, lives at the nursing facility where Donna works. The light-colored dogs, Mary and Shiner (named after the beer brand!) live there, too. Dogs make a place a real home, don’t they? The wet and furry dog is Donna’s pet Como, a […]

Buddy, Shae, and Lady!

Posted May 6 2014

This trio of happy pups belong to reader Cecilia!  Shae looks very comfy there on her back.  Shae is a drama queen, according to Cecilia.  She certainly knows how to play it up for the camera, huh? That’s Buddy with his “What’s up, Mom?” expression. He’s part Saluki, part lab and, at 90 pounds, lots […]

This Couch is Comfy . . . and Delicious!

Posted May 4 2014

This photo of “Trixie” came to me courtesy of David, a fellow CPA.  After he rescued this Swiss Mountain Dog, she rewarded him by eating his new couch.  He says he’ll never again adopt a dog with “mountain” in its breed name. : ) Looks like eating couches is exhausting!  Bad girl, Trixie!

Haha! Our terrier mix and shepherd mix are certainly selective, too. They hear "treat" without fail, but "down" or "no!" don't always register. Raggs is such a cute name!

Reggie certainly looks happy! My own dog, Raggs, has "selective" hearing--and he's not well trained. But. Our dogs are family and we do love them.

Thanks, Barbara! I wish I could write faster, too! My ideas are backing up in my head. : ) I wish my brain had a USB port where I could automatically download the stories from my mind to the page. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book! I'm hard at work on the second one, A Trip with Trouble.

I LOVED getaway with Murder. The second book can't be published soon enough. Can you write any faster? ;-)
