Debut Countdown – 1 day! Post a Comment for a Chance to Win!

Posted Oct 30 2011 in , , , , ,

One of the aspects of writing the Death & Taxes series that was both the most challenging and the most fun was creating the men in Tara’s life.  It was tempting to make her boyfriend, Brett Ellington, perfect.  But then he wouldn’t seem real.  And, honestly, as I thought things through, I realized I had no […]

Debut Countdown – 2 Days! Join in the Converation for a Chance to Win!

A cockroach!  Eeeeek!!! In my debut novel, IRS Special Agent Tara Holloway and DEA Agent Christina Marquez set up a stakeout in a former crack house.  Let’s just say the house isn’t exactly home sweet home.  Between cockroaches and a noisy family racoons, the place is a little crowded. My favorite house I’ve ever lived […]

Great Movie – “Music Within”

Posted Oct 15 2011

I’m going to be on a panel soon with screenwriter Bret McKinney who wrote the script for the movie “Music Within” and, naturally, I was curious.  My hubby and I watched the movie last night and it was fantastic!  The movie is based on the true story of a Viet Nam vet who suffered hearing loss […]

Keep Your Pants On!

Posted Sep 28 2011

In Death, Taxes, and a Skinny No-Whip Latte, Special Agent Nick Pratt appears in a tiger-striped Speedo.  Here’s some other guys in animal-print Speedos for your consideration: I totally fell out of my chair laughing when I saw that video!  You gotta love guys who are willing to make fun of themselves like that. So, […]

Under 100!

Posted Sep 4 2011

It’s one of the first days in forever that we haven’t hit 100 degrees here in the Dallas area.  Woo hoo!  I’m working on the back patio today, though I have to say the woodpecker that’s decided to jackhammer my redbud tree is a bit of a distraction.  He is cute, though.  I have to […]

Let’s Stop the Violence!

Posted Aug 24 2011

Anyone who’s ever met me will know that I’m a rabid animal lover (it’s easy to tell from the cat and dog fur that seems to be on my clothes no matter how many times I run the lint brush over them).  The Humane Society is working to get legislatures to crack down on this […]

Funny Girls

Posted Aug 18 2011

I’m busily preparing for my upcoming humor workshop at the Dallas Area Romance Authors meeting on the 27th.  The hardest part is choosing which selections to use as examples – there are so many funny passages by my favorite humorous authors! I’m also hard at work on book #3 in my Death & Taxes series.  […]

Haha! Our terrier mix and shepherd mix are certainly selective, too. They hear "treat" without fail, but "down" or "no!" don't always register. Raggs is such a cute name!

Reggie certainly looks happy! My own dog, Raggs, has "selective" hearing--and he's not well trained. But. Our dogs are family and we do love them.

Thanks, Barbara! I wish I could write faster, too! My ideas are backing up in my head. : ) I wish my brain had a USB port where I could automatically download the stories from my mind to the page. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book! I'm hard at work on the second one, A Trip with Trouble.

I LOVED getaway with Murder. The second book can't be published soon enough. Can you write any faster? ;-)
